Thursday, 23 September, 6:30 pm SCR Reading Week Outreach Talk: Following today’s service our preacher for the evening, Rev'd Dr. Ranall Ingalls (Rector, Trinity Church, Saint John, NB) spoke in the SCR about outreach opportunities for King’s students during Reading Week. Students heard about this challenging and exciting initiative.

Part of the tradition of the King's Chapel has been for students to offer up their Reading Week and travel to a church somewhere in the Maritimes in order to be an encouragement to the spiritual life of a parish community and to assist in youth programs, evangelization, and parish visitations - especially to the sick and shut-in. Through their participation in these Reading Week visitations, students have come to a clarification of their vocation. This year the Chapel renews this tradition. A group of students will travel to Trinity Church, St. John, NB, located in the south end of the city, which is an area that has demonstrated social and economic need. During Reading Week the students will live in this community, say the daily offices, and be involved in various community outreach projects. This can be a challenging and rewarding opportunity for students. Please do not dismiss this out of hand. Pray not only for your own involvement, but that many might respond willingly. Please speak to the Chaplain if you are interested in taking part.
Saturday, 25 September Cape Split The Chapel hosts this day trip/hike to the beautiful and world famous cliffs of Cape Split.
